Hey y'all
Nezumi commented on a post from yesterday, and she said that it's wrong for me to post here just because I've reached my posting limit in my regular journal...I just wanted to say that I understand her concern, but I've always used this journal (my personal writing journal) for posting lyrics and quotations from other people, as well as my own writing. So my posts yesterday were pretty normal for me. I like the stuff I posted yesterday so much that I thought about posting them in my regular journal, but I didn't want to overdo it, so they were relegated to this space, which I know doesn't have many readers.

I am not against posting limits per-se. I just believe that a 5-10-20 split would be MUCH more reasonable than the proposed (soon-to-be-enacted) 3-10-20 split. Just my 2 cents.

Keep this journal on your friends list to read my writings and my favorite lyrics and quotes...otherwise, catch ya later.

Love,
Nate

Actually, ignore that totally. I deleted the post immediately, as I realized I'd made a mistake. This is a journal of yours, and I had mistakenly thought (since it's where I see a lot of your posts) that it was in [info]transgender. It's that community people shouldn't be posting in as if it were their personal journal.

Personally, I feel like a bitch for posting it in the first place, mistake or no.

Aww...it's ok, sweetie. I realized you had erased it, but I wanted to remind people what this journal is for, anyway. No hard feelings. *hug*

Love,
Nate

I still feel bad about it.

As to the limits, the 3-10-20 limit was put in effect, and they never told anyone about it, then took it out when people started to compalin. The plan is 5-20-50 (I think that 20's right), but it's not supposed to take effect until they make a decision WRT communities. That's one reason I want to make [info]transgender a paid community. It would make life easier for all the users.

Aww, don't feel bad--really!

I firmly disagree about making transgender a paid community, because many transgendered people, such as myself, are either a) too young to have a credit card/Paypal account to get a paid account and not out or accepted by their parents enough for them to do it, and/or b) college students or 20-somethings (or older) who are DIRT POOR. I know this personally, having lived more than one week this year on a $5.00 bill, and witnessing myself and my friends scrambling for money to go to the FTM conference in DC, and planning on sharing a hotel room with 8 people just to make it cheaper. Making href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/transgender">transgender</a> a paid community would be an act of exclusivity, which is definitely NOT what the transgendered community needs--we need to unite and help each other, and if we can't afford to pay for a paid account for everyone who needs the support, then it is wrong for us to make it a paid community.

Sorry, I'm a bit vehement about the need for access in the trans community...

Anyway, talk to ya later.

wait. if a community journal is made to be paid, does that mean that every user has to pay the full cost of an individual journal to join? because otherwise there could jsut be an agreement that those lj users in the transgender community that have money to spare can pitch it in to help out us paupers.

Oh, good heavens no! That's not what it means at all!

Making it paid means I'm planning to pony up the $25.00 and pay for the community for a year, so when the limits are put in, the users will be able to most more often. There's no charge to the users for that, it's strictly voluntary on my part. I believe there are other benefits as well, such as being able to do nifty things to the page and such.

I want more and better access, that's all. Less limitations.
